Korea is definitely high tech, and there are many areas, especially in Seoul, that specialize in electronics. In the Sindorim (Guro) district of Seoul, this Technomart has several floors of electronics, including service centers for Dell and Hewelett Packard, but there are department stores (E-Mart) and other specialty stores as well. There is a Starbucks and a McDonald's on the ground floor, but the food court on the eighth floor has several dozen restaurants and coffee shops including this large Smoothie King shop.

Smoothie King opened its first store in the U.S. in 1973, (franchised as "Smoothie King" in 1989) and entered the international market in 2003 with their first Smoothie King Korea store in the fashionable Myong Dong district of Seoul. There are now over fifty stores throughout Korea, where it has gained wide acceptance.
