This bell was miscast, but was put on display so the public could see it close up.
The accompanying plaque reads in part:
"Rarely does an outcast become a treasure.
An error in sizing one of the bells meant that it could not occupy its destined place in Mission Hill Family Estates bell tower. Realizing that visitors would not otherwise be able to appreciate the artistry of the bells, proprieter Anthony von Mandl retained this miscast bell so that visitors could view the details of the design and inscription up close."
