For years this was a popular spot for the local thugs to vandalize. It was costing the city money as they would constantly have to paint over the vandalism. One day after the city painted another clean slate, the simple yet effective word, love, appeared. The wall was never vandalized again. A few years later when Kaboom chose this park as their 100th build along the gulf coast following hurricane katrina, they decided to keep the graffiti and add Martin Luther King's profile to make it complete. To this day the park has yet to be vandalized again.
