 Serra da Estrela is the name given to the mountain and mountain range where the highest altitudes of Portugal Continental are, constituting the second highest mountain in Portugal (the highest is Montanha do Pico, Açores). It is part of a wider range called the Central System, in a subsystem designated as mountainous system Montejunto-Estrela
