This is a 13 mts cilindrical tower with two balconies on top and a living area for the lighthouse keeper built 21mts above sea level .
The lighthouse is painted with black and white vertical stripes.
The lighthouse was built in 1863 and in 1979 was modified and increased in height.
It´s light (active; focal plane 21m)is white occulting five times in a 2+3 pattern every 14s and is seen at 7 miles distance.
As a curiosity, it´s one of the few lighthouses inhabited at the present time in Spain.
This stamp shows a foto of the Lighthouse. It was issued by the Spanish "Correos" with a facial value of 64 Eur cents in 2010.
