Das Abwasser-Entsorgungsgebiet umfasst das gesamte Ortsgebiet von Telfs und die umliegenden Verbandsgemeinden des Abwasserverbandes Telfs und Umgebung - Wildermieming, Rietz, Pfaffenhofen und Oberhofen.
Das Kanalnetz wird über Mischwasser- und Trennsysteme (= getrennte Führung von Schmutz- und Regenwasser) betrieben. Die Funktion des Netzes wird durch Abwasserhebeanlagen, Regen- wasserpumpwerke und Retentionsbecken aufrecht erhalten. Das gesamte Netz enthält ca. 3.700 Kanalschächte, ca. 7 km Mischwasserkanäle, ca. 24 km Regenwasserkanäle und ca. 67 km Schmutzwasserkanäle. Das Abwasser wird gesammelt in das Klärwerk in Telfs-Längenberg geleitet, wo die Reinigung durchgeführt wird.
