The Club was founded in 1997 under the name Golf Club Plzen. In 2001 the Club was renamed and became known as the Darovanský Dvur Golf Club.
The course was built according to an original design of Kamil Pilat and perfected by Scottish architect Chris Johnson. The course at Golf Club Darovansky dvur has elegant greens and line modulations, wide sand bunkers and bunkers with vertical turfy walls, characteristic of Scottish links courses. Many elevated vantage points on the course also provide magnificent views of the surrounding natural scenic landscape of the Horni Berounka nature preserve.
