Located in an important area of the National Park of Peneda Geres, this trail is near other interesting places such as the Sarilhao cliff, the Albergaria National Forest and the ruins of the village of Vilarinho das Fumas.

The trail is 9km long and takes about 3 hours. It crosses the old Roman Road the "Via Nova XVIII" and follows it in places so that you will find the milestones XXVII, XXVIII and XXIX along the way or in close proximity.

The trail runs through terrain ravaged by a forest fire in 2009 which may have damaged the trail markings (around milestone XXIX).
