Green Gate (Zelená brána) presents the entrance to Pernstein Square, the historic center of Pardubice. Green Gate originates from the 14th century. It was rebuilt after the fire of 1538. In 1912, Green Gate was rebuilt to its present shape. There is a tower which rises above the gate to the height over 60 meters. The Green Gate is open to public and offers a view of the historical center of the city and distant surroundings.

Zelená brána je charakteristická a významná dominanta mesta Pardubic. Je vnímána jako jeden celek, ale ve skutecnosti se jedná o dve stavby za sebou - renesancní predbraní a vlastní bránu s veží 59 m vysokou. Tento celek je jediným významným, ale velice cenným zbytkem mestského opevnení z pocátku 16. století. Je jedním ze vstupu do mestské památkové rezervace, pocátkem i záverem znacené prohlídkové trasy rezervace, tzv. Stezky Viléma z Pernštejna. Predbraní i vež byly do dnešní podoby prestaveny po požáru mesta roku 1538 Janem z Pernštejna. Vež je prístupná a nabízí návštevníkum rozhled na mesto i do vzdáleného okolí.
