Church of the Mother of God of Bethlehem (in Catalan Església of the Virgin of Betlem) is a Catholic parish church baroque style located at the junction of the Rambla and Calle del Carmen from Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain).
It was the church of the Jesuits until their expulsion from Spain in 1767, and formed the nucleus of a group of buildings of this order. It is built in the same place as an earlier church from 1553 that burned in 1671. Designed by Josep Juli and directed by Jesuit Father Dídac of Tort and lacquered, was built between 1680 and 1729, although its interior was extended until 1855. Until 1936, when it was burned during the Spanish Civil War, the interior was the mos sumptuous interior of all churches in Barcelona.
