The memorial is to the 16th president of the United States. Interestingly it's also the 16th token in the series. The memorial was built in the beginning on the 20th century. It was dedicated in 1922. The memorial was designed by architect Henry Bacon. The sculpture of Lincoln depicted in the image was made by Daniel Chester French.

The memorial is run by the National Parks Service.
