Folkestone is synonymous with fishing whether it is commercial fishing or fishing for pleasure. Fishing is permitted, off the pier to the south of the harbour, for which a ticket is required or boats can be chartered to undertake fishing at sea.
Me, I prefer to wait for someone else to catch my fish and I can then get my fish and chips from one of the establishements at the other side of the railway arches!
