I came to the town of Tomar as a kid, and that was more than 30 years ago. By then I used to stay in the camping site which was not far from this hotel. I remember to feel the exclusivity of the place when my rich aunt came to visit us and stayed there. Many years later, the main supplier of my wife's shop started to organize a bi-yearly congress in this hotel and I had the pleasure to attend... so every year, once or twice I stay in Hotel dos Templários for a couple of nights.
The name means Templars Hotel, because it was in Tomar that one of the last hideouts of the Knights survived. Anyway, Tomar is a place well worthing a visit, and not only due to its awesome castle and monastery.

Apart from the location, in the heart of teh historical town of Tomar, you will find in this hotel all the facilities expected in a 4 stars hotel, including indoors and outdoors swimming pools, gym, piano par, spa.
Justification for Recommendation:
Well, I love the place. Not only the hotel but also the town. And if you can afford it there is no better place to stay in Tomar.
