This statue represents an old lady selling her poor crop. She is sitting with a couple of boxes and baskets in front of her, waiting for customers. Inside the containers, oranges, almonds, sweet potatoes, carrobs.
The location of the statue it's not accidental. It's just close to the city market where a few decades ago real ladies looking just like this statue used to earn their lives selling their crops.
So I'm inspecting the oranges, they looked good and in the end I bought a bad of delicious and juicy oranges from the lady.
