Strandz Hairdressing is on a pedestrianised street in Cheltenham. The premises, on the first floor, are entered through a narrow doorway at street level. The pole is situated between the two windows, on the first floor, that face on to the street. As the area was visited on a Sunday the shop was closed. The pole has an electrical cable leading to it from the right-hand window. Best estimate is that the power is for illumination only as the pole does not seem capable of turning.
