This plate is located near the summit of Mount Rigi at a height of about 1800 meters (6000 ft) above sea level. It shows the directions and distances to some of the most important cities on all continents as well as some local cities and the North Pole.
Historic significance:
There is no date and no hint to who placed it, but it must have been done by either the local tourism association or the company that runs the cog railways to the top.
