The sign says:-
Wind and Tidal Power -
Britain is sitting in the middle of the most
underused, but exciting, source of reliable
renewable energy - the sea. Millions of
pounds are being spent on finding ways to
harness the energy in the waves and tides
along our vast coastlines.
Scientific Principle(s) being demonstrated: How energy can be transferred from a current to a turbine via the water medium.
Briefly explain if the experiment was effective for you. Could it have been better?: Good, but simple, press a button, see a fan spin to spin a turbine and watch a bulb light up
When is the apparatus/experiment available to the public: All year, £8 for adults, £4 for kids over 5, access to the whole CAT site.
