In 1919 Mortimer’s Museum, Lockwood Street was purchased for new Masonic Temple for the Sykes Lodge, at a cost of £600. This is now the Sykes Lodge (1040)[1]. The building was built in 1878 to house the collection of archeologist John Robert Mortimer. It is a grade II listed building [2]
