A great campground in a great park. While the park is not that large (in respect to other state parks) it is long and stretches along the White River. There are several preserved Indian mounds throughout the park that have been attributed to the changing of the seasons. The Naturalist nows holds annual Geocaching events on the Spring and Fall solstices, just as the Indians did (without the Geocaching part) in honor of this area.
The campgrounds are very modern. Every site has electricity and most have water. The shower facility is modern and we always had hot water.
