The Lao Buddhist Temple was originally built in 1927 to serve as a lodge for the local Knights of Pythias. The building was designed by architect Richard E. Oberst in Spanish Colonial Revival. The building later served as a venue for musical concerts called the Crystal Palace. The building now serves as the Lao Buddhist Temple. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
