It is unclear why a fire hydrant was placed in this out-of-the-way place, but the neighboring tree seems to be enjoying its company. Both have been sharing the grassy area behind the Hjemmomst Center for a long time, clearly overshadowed by the impressive museum building and undoubtedly pre-dating the tourist attraction.
