The tree standing next to the Blue Star Marker is dedicated to the men and women of our Armed Forces who have defended our country. It is located at the Fargo/Moorhead Tourist Information Center just off Hwy. 94. The text of the tree marker reads:

“Let Freedom Ring.” Blue Star Marker and Patriotic Tree honoring patriotic men and women who have served us in the past and today. Placed by Fargo Garden Society, North Dakota State Federation of Garden Clubs. Funded in part by a 2005-07 grant from National Garden Clubs, Inc. and Principal Financial Group with additional funds from Gilbert C. Grafton Post #2 American Legion, Fargo and Melvin E. Hearl Post #21 American Legion, Moorhead.”
