Die Iller (lat. Hilaria, kelt. ilara = eilig) ist ein rechter Nebenfluss der Donau. Der 147 Kilometer lange Fluss entsteht im Oberallgäu und mündet bei Ulm in die Donau. Auf der Liste der Flüsse Bayerns liegt die Iller damit auf dem siebten Platz.
Die Donau ist mit einer Gesamtlänge von 2857 Kilometern nach der Wolga der zweitgrößte und zweitlängste Strom in Europa. Der Quelltopf des Donaubachs in der Nähe der Vereinigung der beiden Quellflüsse wird oft ebenfalls als Donauquelle bezeichnet. Die ab hier noch gut 2810 Kilometer lange Donau durchquert drei große Beckenlandschaften; das nördliche Alpenvorland und das Wiener Becken (Oberlauf), die pannonische Tiefebene (Mittellauf) und das Rumänische Tiefland (Unterlauf). Die Donau mündet in einem ausgedehnten Delta in das Schwarze Meer.
Die Koordinaten wurden in der Mitte des Zusammenflusses aufgenommen. Vom Parkplatz aus geht man 2km zu diesem Punkt.

The Iller is a right tributary of the Danube. The 91,3 miles long river is formed in the Upper Allgäu and flows into the Danube near Ulm. On the list of the river lenghts in Bavaria the Iller is at place seven.
The Danube with a total length of 1775 miles is the second largest and second longest river in Europe. The Danube flows through a wide delta into the Black Sea.
The coordinates were taken in the middle of the confluence. From the parking place you have to go 1,2 miles to reach this point.
