TP LVermGeo Koblenz - German Trigonometric Points on Waymarking.com

Dieser Trigonometrische Punkt steht unmittelbar vor dem Eingang des Landes-Vermessungsamt in Koblenz.
Dieser Meßpunkt dient nicht nur Vermessungszwecken, sondern kann von jedermann genutzt werden, um die Genauigkeit des eigenen GPSr zu ermitteln. Eine Schautafel neben dem Punkt beschreibt, wie dabei vorzugehen ist und zeigt die exakten Koordinaten an.

Es wäre nett, wenn beim Besuch auch angegeben wird, welche Koordinaten ermittelt wurden (mit Angabe des Geräts).
Bei mir betrug die Abweichung ca 1.5m gegenüber den Referenzkoordinaten. Das von mir benutzte Gerät war ein Magellan Explorist 100.

Trigonometric point is just in front of the entrance of the land surveying office in Koblenz.
This point is not just for measurement purposes, it can also be used by anyone to determine the accuracy of their GPSr. A poster next to the item describes how to measure exact coordinates.

It would be nice if You write in your visit log, which coordinates were determined (with an indication of the device).

In my case the deviation was approximately 1.5m compared to the reference coordinates. The device used by me was a Magellan Explorist 100.
