Zippy visited Martha's Cafe with his friend, Shelf-Life, who fell in love with Martha. Martha was not amused and threatened to crush him under her giant high heels.

I found Martha's Cafe just fine, but something was missing. Martha, the large waitress outside was nowhere to be seen. I asked the owners of the Cafe where Martha was. They said that she had been taken down for renovation over the winter and was lying next door in the upholstery shop.

So I went next door to take pictures of Martha. The fellows working in the upholstery shop were full of jokes about her, like "Martha's been laid off" and "Martha's been unemployed for a while". So I took pictures of her under repair.

Perhaps the next visitor will find Martha back in place overlooking the cafe and highway.
