Criado em 1978, aquando das “Comemorações dos XIX Séculos do Município de Chaves”, o Núcleo Militar, instalado na Torre de Menagem, tem em exposição permanente material militar, armas, espadas, uniformes, bandeiras, peças de artilharia, assim como diversas outras peças, que ao longo dos tempos, foram sendo utilizadas pelo exército português.

É dentro da temática militar, que o museu compõe as suas 4 salas, dando a conhecer e divulgando a História Militar Portuguesa a todos quantos nos visitam.

Created in 1978, during the "Celebration of the nineteenth centuries the city of Chaves," the Military Museum, located in the Castle, is on permanent display military equipment, weapons, swords, uniforms, flags, artillery pieces, as well as several other pieces, over time, were being used by the Portuguese army.

It is within the military theme, the museum makes up its four rooms, raising awareness and disseminating the Portuguese Military History to all who visit us.
