While every other fire hydrant on the grounds of the Eastern States Exposition is painted red and silver, the hydrant outside the firehouse is, naturally enough, painted in Dalmatian spots.
The firehouse is active during the seventeen days of this six state fair during September. It serves as a restaurant as well and is very popular breakfast spot for workers at the fair and early visitors.

There is a $5 parking fee at the Eastern States Exposition when there is an event in progress. All other times access to the grounds is free.
