«Situated on the rue des Canettes, in the heart of the St Germain des Prés district, and only a stone's throw away from the famous St Suplice square, the Brasserie O'Neil was the first brewpub in Paris.
Issue of M. Pinet, a restaurant owner in search of innovative ideas, and Patrick Bonduel, whose family has been in the brewing business for years in the North of France, the Brasserie O'Neil opened in the country's capital over fifteen years ago. Its trump card is, of course, its excellent pure malt beers brewed on the premises but it is also a lively pub that offers its customers a warm welcome.»
«Each O'Neils beer. with the exception of their white beer, which also includes wheat, is made from 100% barley grains. It produces a pure, refreshing beer, which is enriched by the addition of the slightly bitter, odorous hops. The Brasserie O'Neil produces four different types of beer:
• La Blonde : a delicious golden lager made from a selection of aromatic hops. Fruity yet subtle taste and an excellent thirst quencher.
• L’Ambrée, : this amber-coloured beer is brewed from a mixture of carefully chosen special, pale malt grains. It is this that gives the beer its rich colour and malty taste. A well-balanced beer with a good clean flavour.
• La Brune: A rich, full-bodied beer which is a subtle combination of smooth and bitter.
• La Blanche: made from a mixture of barley and wheat grains, this is an exceptionally refreshing beer. With its slightly citrus flavour, this really is the perfect thirst quencher.»
