During the end of the second world war, these factory halls served as storages for ammunition raw material. After the war, from 1956 to 1957 the compact car 'Spatz' (sparrow) was manufactured here. After halting the production of the compact car, different companies rented the factory buildings, for example Siemens lights in the late 60's. Today the renovated halls which are decorated with vivid colors are used as artists galleries for contemporary and modern art. It is home of the foundation "DASMAXIMUM" (The Maximum)
Während des Endes des zweiten Weltkrieges dienten diese Fabrikhallen als Rohstofflager der benachbarten Munitionsfabrik. Nach dem Krieg wurde hier von 1956 bus 1957 der Kleinwagen "Spatz" gebaut. Nach Einstellung des Fahrzeugbaus wurden die Hallen an verschieden Unternehmen vermietet. So waren hier z.B. in den 1960er Jahren Teile der Siemens Leuctenfertigung und der Alzmetallproduktion untergebracht. Die in leuchtenden Farben gestalteten Hallen dienen heute unter anderem als Atelier und Ausstellungsfläche für zeitgenössische bildende Kunst. Sie sind Sitz der Stiftung "DASMAXIMUM".
