We visited the Fairgrounds during the July 4 weekend. The Jaycees sponsored the fireworks display, which was spectacular for such a small town. But fireworks are sold year-round in this state, so it shouldn't be a surprise.
For the Agricultural Fair, there is an arena for rodeos, covered buildings for stock shows, and the grandstand is also covered.
When's the Fair?: Ag fair is first week of Aug: July 31st - August 6th in 2011. Fireworks on July 4.
Who's at the Fair?:
Jaycees put on the fireworks. The County 4-H has it's admin building on site, so they are naturally a big presence in the ag fair. Future Farmers of America are also involved, but any individual can enter livestock, join the ice cream social, or run in the rubber chicken race.
