The hydroelectric power plant of Dornach is located between the old and the new bridge from Dornach to Aesch. The river Birs is dammed up about five meters but the dam contains three metal sluices to control the height, so this varies.
The plant is owned by the company Elektra Birseck Münchenstein that has its international headquarter only about 3 kilometers from here, but I could not find any additional information.
