Fossilfest's Mission Statement:
"Fossilfest’s mission is to celebrate and entertain while educating. It is also an event where people from different walks of life come to have fun, share time and talent and raise for their organizations, thereby fostering unity among races, religions and groups."
Fossilfest is usually held during the first to second week in July. Fossilfest 2011 runs July 7-9. Fossilfest got its name because Kemmerer is known as the fossil capital of the world and it is only about 8 miles from Fossil Butte National Monument. The main stage for Fossilfest is located in Herschler Triangle Park in downtown Kemmerer. Here is a little run down on some of the fun things you can do or watch while at Fossilfest:
