Covão da Ponte is a small campsite located in Serra da Estrela.
It´s out of the beaten path wich means that most of the tourists don´t even bother to go there ()They don´t know what they miss) and it´s mostly used by hikers and people that like to go away from civilization fo a while.

Park is located in a beautifull scenary with plenty of trees, grass and a river with a small waterfall.

Camp facilities are very basic and include a reception, bar, parking, showers (cold water), dishwashers, laundry wash, piquenic tables, benches and barbeques.
It would be a great adition if they add electricity and hot water.

Normally only works in summer but the camp is open all year for personal access (no vehicles).

You are free to access and use the barbeques at any time but, if you have a large group you will probably want to use the wc´s so feel free to contact the Junta and let them know you´re going. They will be happy to open the facilities, no cost added.

Costs are only for camping. We don´t have the real cost but expect to pay less than 10USD/day.

Camping Vans amd RV´s are allowed only in the parking lot but there are no electricity hooks.
