Around 1999,the Government decided that the village Doel in the province of East Flanders, North Belgium close to the Netherlands border, had to disappear for the construction of a new dock (Saeftinghe- container port)a new extension of the port of Antwerp.
Most of the houses in the village are abandoned and subject to vandalism.
This is a natural and ideal place for grafitiefans.
