Located in Eagle Square in downtown Concord, only a block from the State Capitol building, the
Museum of New Hampshire History offers a wide variety of exhibitions that detail the heritage and traditions of the Granite State. The museum, owned and operated by the
New Hampshire Historical Society, features an original Concord stagecoach, a hands-on children's museum, and a wide variety of exhibits which tell the story of New Hampshire.
One of the most popular exhibits is a full-size, three story fire tower, located completely within the museum. Visitors who climb to the top of the tower are rewarded with views of the city of Concord from the viewing platform which pokes through the roof of the museum.
The museum also includes a store which features the state's best selection of New Hampshire's books, products and crafts. The museum is fully accessible. Both guided and self-guided tours are available.
