A busy intersection (confluence) of two popular canoeing rivers, there are at least 10 established and documented free campsites. The WMK campsite had about 12 tents and room for several more.
Nearest Virginia state ramp is 6.2 miles upstream on the Rapidan at Ely's Ford. It is 15.7 miles upstream on the Rappahannock to the state ramp at Kelly's Ford.
