In Pawtucket, near the center of town, is the Slater Mills Museum and National Historic Site. Along the sidewalk between the museum and the parking lot is a sign that is a map, with 'You Are Here' text where you are standing.
The map is more of a pencil drawing aerial or isometric drawing, clearly showing the buildings, walkways, trees and river, with shading. The three buildings are labeled as the Wilkinson Mill, the Slater Mill, and the Sylvanus Brown House. The sign is also in the drawing shown on the left side of the drawing, and the "You Are Here" text label points to the sign. There is also text on the upper left side of the sign that provides some historical perspective of the site.
You can walk around the buildings without paying admission. But, touring through is well worth the price, and you would be helping to keep these buildings preserved.
