This monument was erected in memory of Elvis' last concert performance. Market Square Arena was imploded in 2001. The memorial was built and dedicated in 2002. It also serves as a time capsule, with a scarf given to a concertgoer as well as other mementos. The time capsule is to be opened in 2102.
