Kingscote Station is maintained in the 1950s period.
Horsted Keynes is a large station kept in the 1940s era and is also home to the home to the Carriage &
Wagon Maintenance Department and has a viewing gallery. Behind the scenes tours are available. It also has a small museum.
Sheffield Park Station is the home of Locomotive Department. Here you will find engines awaiting restoration
or their next turn of duty. During 2011 the new Museum will be open here alongside the Gift Shop and restuarant and Real Ale Bar.
You will also travel through the Sharpethorn tunnel, the longest in preservation at 731 yards.
The route is truly beautiful through the Sussex countryside. The 15 mile round trip is well worth seeing.
