Werri Beach is popular with body boarders & surf board riders in particular. The beach slopes deeply into the surf & there is a strong permanent rip at the southern end. Body boarders use this rip to take them out beyond the breakers whereas experienced surf board riders jump off the rocks to gain similar access.

There is a modern Surf Life Saving Club across the road from the main entrance to the beach. Here you can buy drinks & ice creams. Toilets & showers are found here as well. Showers are also scattered along the beach. There are no fees attached (am not aware of any beach in Australia that charges a fee) & you can take a walk on the beach at anytime. Horses & vehicles are not allowed & dogs must be under control. Nudists are not allowed however topless bathing has been in vogue on Australian beaches for many years.

The beach can be used for all popular activities such as cricket, building sand castles, burying dad or just throwing a ball. There are multiple access points all the way along but you must stay out of the dunes which are fenced off for protection.

The beach is patrolled & you must swim between the flags.
