We enjoyed a morning looking round the exhibits, meeting friends and viewing the museum. There was an arena area where a Beatles tribute band performed and much speedway memorabilia, including programmes, magazines, books and much more.

Eric Bookcock who is President of the World Speedway Riders Association opened a new part of the museum. A busy programme of events included Stunts, a Slow Riding Competition (open to everyone with a bike), Stars of Speedway, Like the Beatles (music), Shaolin Warriors, Segway Skills Riding Competition, Mayhem Theatre Arts and Club Parades.

This venue is the new home for the annual speedway event which used to be housed at the King’s Oak public house in High Beech on the edge of Epping Forest. Paradise Wildlife Park gives more space, more choice and of course access to the National Speedway Museum. When we attended we also looked round the Paradise Wildlife Park.
