Cottonwood River Bridge was built in 1914. It is a triple filled spandrel arch bridge. It is 207 feet long and 34 feet wide. It is 25 1/2 feet above the normal water level. The bridge was constructed of reinforced concrete. The bridge was replaced by a new bridge a short distance to the east of this one. The bridge was converted to a park area and fishing bridge. Recently it was restored with new railings installed. It is a good place to see the Cottonwood Falls and dam.
The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
