To enter Eden you pass through this pair of carved doors. Appropriately enough they depict an idealized Adam and Eve in appropriate dress. Even more interesting is the fact that the doors are carved on both sides.
If you take the popular "Golden Circle Tour" of Iceland you will probably arrive at Eden before the final leg into Reykjavik. Yes it's touristy featuring souvenirs and ice cream but a greenhouse that uses geothermal energy to produce plants and vegetables year round is a scientific achievement that makes the this visit both interesting and informative.
