National Road 17, or N17, is known as "Estrada da Beira", and is a privileged circulation axis of the center of the country.
It is thought that it's track has existed since medieval times and is a road that probably led not only to internal movement as it opened the door to the entrance of goods, armies, population, coming from outside the kingdom.
This bridge was orpanhed, when a new one was built on the side.
