In Newport, Ben's Chili Dogs, located along Broadway in the commercial part of the city, serves up just hot dogs, with a wide variety of fixings that can be applied, including chili, of course. It is a family operation that has a loyal following. Though it has changed hands over the years, the Facebook page states that the store has been around for over 40 years.
It's not very large inside - maybe typical of local pizzarias. There are a few tables to sit and eat, or take it outside and eat while you are window shopping!
