The border crossing between Weil-Friedlingen and Basel-Kleinhüningen is only about 200 meters from the French border.
It is a very busy border crossing. Several thousand people cross here every day on their way to work. Many people go shopping abroad where some goods are cheaper than at home. So the customs officers are stamping export declarations and VAT refund forms all day long.
