«This Monographic Museum was inaugurated on 27 September 1910, on the first centenary of the Buçaco Battle, which synthesizes the braveness and heroic attitude of the anglo-saxonian army during the Peninsular War.
The museum was extended and redecorated in 1962, it possesses a set of valuable collections of weapons, uniforms and equipment used in that battle, from wich a piece of artillery with the correspondent ornaments is worth pinpointing.
The brave and determined attitude of all yhe Portuguese units that took part in the Peninsular War (1818-1814), will be remembered with emotion and gratitude in panels illustrating the brilliant feats of arms. The defense of our identity and independence is due to their action.»
