The area around Nannup is famous for its unconfirmed sightings of the 'Nannup Tiger' or the (Thylacinus cynocephalus - "striped wolf dog's head"). The Statue was sponsored by the 2003 Nannup Music Festival and was created by artist Flint Edwards.
