The church was built in 1900-1901 for the Russian spa guests. It was consecrated on September 3rd 1901 by Chaplain of Russian Embassy in Berlin, protopresbyter graf Alexey von Metzlow.
After WW II it was abandonned and devastated, then in 1996 it was bought back by Polish Orthodox Church and repaired. The worship is performed several days in a month.
Since 1999 there is an iconography workshop and gallery of Michal Bogucki at the church.
