Årnes Church is situated on a hill not far from the railway station and Årnes center. It is the parent church in what was Årnes parish, which consisted of two parishes: Årnes and Auli.

It revolves around a neo-Gothic church in brick with 375 seats. The church has a rectangular nave, polygonalt ended choir and west tower. It's sacristy on the north side of the choir. The roof is tiled with slate.
Inside, the west gallery with organ, and the colors were set in 1954 at the suggestion of Find Krafft. The altarpiece, which shows Jesus in Gethsemane, was painted by Marie Sverdrup in 1911 after the Dresden painter Ludwig von Hoffman.
